5 Outfits For Transitioning Into Spring | feat. A Little Vintage Happy

April 23, 2018 4 Comments

Spring has definitely arrived here in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I could not be happier! Aside from the constant sneezing and absolutely no humidity (please send rain!), the days are warm and spring fashion is finally acceptable to wear. Anyone else feel like winter dragged on way too long this year? Anyway, today I’m sharing 5 outfits I’ve put together to help you transition out of the cold winter and into warmer spring days. A lot of the items I’ve listed are new arrivals, so make sure you shop them before they sell out! There are some amazing spring deals going on right now, so I’ll be sure to update this post if any items go back on sale!

A Little Vintage Happy

This post is in collaboration with my favorite jewelry shop, A Little Vintage Happy! Shop owner and custom jewelry designer, Brooke Gilbert, designs each piece with inspiration drawn from a classic movie or song title. She handcrafts each item as she wire wraps every bead by hand and makes the bronze pieces herself. Except for her vintage pieces, everything is gold filled or vermeil (gold plated over sterling silver), meaning that the jewelry is hypoallergenic! I absolutely love supporting local, talented, and passionate shop owners. Having known Brooke for nearly 20 years now (that long, already?!), I’ve seen her passion, creativity, and talent only grow as she’s put her heart into creating these breathtaking pieces. You can find her store here and here. Her necklaces would make the perfect Mother’s Day gift!

Outfit #1

It took me awhile to jump on the peplum train, but as soon as I did, I was sold. I absolutely love this white peplum tee with these gray pants. For reference, I’m wearing a petite medium in the top & size 2 petite in the pants. I love these Franco Sarto shoes; they’re only available in black and gray now, and they are gorgeous! I’m wearing one of my favorite necklaces from A Little Vintage Happy; I come from a sailing background, so the bronzed nautical pendant holds so much personal meaning and beauty. I love this necklace paired with a classier, but still comfortable outfit.

Shop The Look:

Caslon Peplum Tee
Girlfriend Chino Pants
Franco Sarto Harlet Sandal
I’ve linked the Forever Strong Necklace, as well as similar necklaces here. This one is one of my favorites!
The Forever Anklet is currently sold out, so I’ve linked the very similar Forever Faithful Hand Bracelet

Outfit #2

I’m absolutely in love with this new denim jacket! I sized up (wearing a petite 4), but will be returning for my true size (petite 2). It’s the perfect staple piece for Spring! I own the t-shirt underneath in 3 other colors, and cannot get enough! My white shorts are a few years old, but I’ve linked a similar pair below. My Franco Sarto sandals are also a few years old, but I’ve linked a few pairs by him that I’m currently loving! I’m wearing my favorite necklace from A Little Vintage Happy. I absolutely love the versatility of this necklace: It looks perfect with a t-shirt and shorts, or going out for a nice dinner. I’m obsessed with dainty necklaces, and this one is my all time favorite!

Shop The Look:

Ruffle Denim Jacket
Cotton Scoop Neck Tee
White Denim Shorts
Aviator Sunglasses
Forever Faithful Necklace

Outfit #3

I am absolutely obsessed with this top & necklace combo! I ordered this striped top in a medium, as all that was left were medium and large sizes. I recommend staying true to your normal size when ordering! This Forever Strong necklace compliments the gray stripes perfectly! I’ve paired the outfit with my favorite jeans (you can view more of my must-have spring jeans in this post).

Roolee Textured Top
Ann Taylor Jeans
Forever Strong Necklace

Outfit #4

I eyed this gorgeous pink sweater for a few weeks before I finally made the purchase. I’m wearing a regular medium instead of petite, but it was the only available size in the store at the time (plus, I love the oversized look!). These denim shorts paired with a sweater are perfect for spring weather on the days when it’s not quite chilly enough to wear a long sleeve with jeans, but too hot to go out in a t-shirt and shorts. Both the sweater and denim shorts are 40% off with code: BFFS. My Michael Kors sandals are from Nordstrom Rack last year, but I’ve linked a few similar pairs below. My favorite part of this ensemble are the gorgeous necklace and anklet from A Little Vintage Jewelry. Although this exact necklace isn’t listed on the site, there are numerous similar items listed that are just as beautiful! I’ve linked this anklet to the gorgeous hand bracelets that I’ve been dying to purchase.

Shop The Look:

Modern Round Sunglasses
Marled Pink Sweater
Denim Shorts In Rinse Wash
Kate + Alex Nylon Tote

Outfit #5

I ordered this top in a medium petite, and although it runs large in the torso, I love the openness of the sleeves. I absolutely love the comfort of this outfit! I’m so obsessed with these shorts, I’m wanting them in every color! I’m wearing a size small for reference. They’re currently 40% off with code: BBFS. This outfit is perfect for a weekend getaway, a day full of traveling, or just walking to class! I’ve paired it with my favorite necklace from A Little Vintage Happy!

Shop The Look:

Aviator Sunglasses
Slub-Knit Boyfriend Tee
Garment Dye Poplin Shorts

Forever Faithful Necklace
Matching Forever Faithful Hand Bracelet

Hey there this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if
blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually
code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding experience so I wanted to get guidance
from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly
    appreciated!
