Spring Decorating Tips To Style Your Kitchen

May 15, 2018 4 Comments

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day and a restful weekend. Today I’m sharing our kitchen reveal and bringing you some spring decor ideas! Some of our decor is either a few years old or passed down to us, but I’ve linked any similar items I could find! Enjoy!

Tip #1: Opt For Neutrals, Mirrors, Or Glass Pieces For A Bright & Clean Look

I’m all about adding a pop of color. But keeping a space neutral in color near a large window that’s going to bring in lots of light will not only help brighten up the room, but add a clean and organized feel as well. The bay window brings in so much light, we hardly ever have to turn the lights on. Adding a mirror on the wall using a glass table top allows more light to invade the space, making the room appear more spacious than it really is. The mandala hanging on the wall was given to us by my husband’s parents & I love how it continues our southwestern theme into the kitchen. Tip #2: Use A Storage Organizer That Matches Your Aesthetic

When I came across the wooden mail organizer, it was a game changer. Normally our mail is spread across the counter, making the space seem cluttered and messy. With the organizer, we’re able to keep the counter tops (mostly) neat & never have to worry about losing important documents! Additionally, we opted for a spice rack that already came with spices, as we are new homeowners and any extra help is welcomed! The spice rack allows for assistance, while continuing with the neutral and organized feel of the room. Tip #2:In a room like the kitchen, where a lot of papers are coming through, use an organizing piece of storage that can also be used as decor that fits your aesthetic.

Tip #3: Find One Decor Piece to Tie The Room Together

If there’s one thing I love about spring, it’s the colors! Like I’ve said in previous home decor posts, I always choose to add a pop of color. The kitchen & coffee corner seemed like the perfect spot to add some pinks, blues, and oranges to the kitchen, without becoming too overwhelming. Tip #3: Try to find one decor piece, such as a rug or kitchen towel to tie all of the colorful decor pieces together.
