Happy June, everyone! A few weeks ago I stumbled upon the cutest shorts for summer. Although I’m working on creating a capsule wardrobe, I couldn’t resist these perfect summer shorts from LOFT! I love the fact that they’re colorful, yet still versatile. They would look amazing with a white, navy, or yellow top! And they’re currently 40% OFF! I paired them with my new favorite tassel earrings.
A few weeks ago, Daniel & I traveled to Texas for his twin brother’s wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony filled with so much love for the couple and for Jesus. While we were there, Daniel drove us an hour away to his hometown. I absolutely loved getting to see where he grew up and being able to put a place to all the stories he’s told me of his childhood. It was also emotional just realizing how great our God is: He took two very similar people from different states and moved us both to New Mexico (at different times) to ultimately find one another. I couldn’t help but realize the massive blessing we had been given by finding one another, despite having grown up in different places.
The day we got back from our Texas road trip, we found out Daniel was accepted into his film program (!!!!). We are so excited and thankful and can’t wait to see where this takes Daniel and his passion. He’ll be focusing heavily on animation & editing, while still learning the basics of film making. The classes start this fall!
Daniel & I have quite a few road trips planned this summer, and I am beyond excited! If you know me at all, you know how much I love to travel, and I’m so thankful to have married someone who loves traveling as much as I do! We’ve already taken one day trip to the Wolf Sanctuary and Ice Caves here in New Mexico. Our next excursion is our big trip of the year: A road trip to Los Angeles! We’ve explored parts of Northern California together, and we’ve both been to Los Angeles separately, so we are pumped to get to experience it together! We’re taking a day or two on our adventure to explore different parts of LA, in case we need to move there someday!
Lastly, I’ve recently started a summer course to help me continue with school. If you didn’t know, I’ve been in and out of college for 7 ½ years (more on that in a later blog post). This past January, Daniel made a pact with me to not let me quit until I graduate, since I only have about 3 (or so) semesters left. So, we’ve just been settling into our new routine and enjoying newlywed life and some fun travels!
That’s it for the update for now! Hope you all are having a wonderful summer so far! Thanks so much for reading!
Until next time,
